While other players were returning to their respective cities by flight, Dubey took a different route to reach home quickly. He took a train from Ahmedabad to Mumbai and traveled in a 3-tier AC coach with his wife and a friend. He started the journey at around 5 in the morning.

Dubey himself also explained the reason behind this decision. He said that he was extremely excited and anxious to meet his family, especially his child and father. For this reason he decided to leave immediately without any delay. Due to non-availability of flights, train became the fastest option for them.
