Shivoham Shiva Temple, why is this temple of Lord Shankar special?

A famous and old temple of Lord Shiva is located on the Old Airport Road in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Earlier this temple was called Kemp Fort Shiva Temple but later its name was changed to Shivoham Shiva Temple. This temple was established in the year 1995. The biggest attraction of the temple is the statue of Lord Shiva, sitting in Padmasana posture. The scene of flowing Ganga is shown behind the statue. The artificial Himalaya created around it further enhances the beauty of the temple.

 

The biggest feature here is that this temple is not limited to any specific caste or sect. Devotees coming here understand the philosophy of ‘Shivoham’. A 32 feet high statue of Lord Ganesha and a 25 feet high Shivalinga are also installed in the temple premises, which remains a center of attraction among the tourists due to its structure and grandeur.

Main features of the temple

65 feet high Shiva Statue The biggest identity of the temple is the huge white statue of Lord Shiva. This idol depicts Lord Shiva in a meditative posture, which is a symbol of peace and power.

 

Darshan of 12 Jyotirlingas Replicas of the famous 12 Jyotirlingas of India have been made in the temple complex. It is said that if you cannot travel all over India then by coming here you can experience the darshan of all those divine Jyotirlingas at one place.

 

 

Spiritual Cave Yatra: A ‘Himalayan Cave’ has been built here, passing through which devotees get an experience like Amarnath Yatra. People believe that they get spiritual peace and a chance to understand themselves here.

Healing Stone There is a special stone in the temple called ‘Healing Stone’. Devotees believe that touching it brings positive energy and relieves mental stress.

The facility of darshan here is free. If a devotee wants to have a special darshan, he may have to pay a fee for it. This temple is open 24 hours a day, all 7 days a week, so this temple is very special.
