Agriculture Minister Shivraj’s attack on Punjab Government! Case of embezzlement and scam opened in 13 thousand panchayats
Shivraj Singh Chauhan Corruption Allegation on Punjab Government: Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab. He has termed bringing a resolution against the Act of Parliament in the special session of the Punjab Assembly as directly anti-constitution and anti-democracy. Expressing surprise, Shivraj asked, would it be appropriate if tomorrow the district panchayats also start passing resolutions against the state law? This matter has now turned into a new and serious political war of Delhi vs Punjab.
Chauhan said in clear words that it is the constitutional responsibility of the Center and all the states to obey the laws passed by the Parliament. He termed the Punjab government’s attitude as politics of blind opposition which has nothing to do with dignity. Along with this, he exposed the big game going on under MNREGA in Punjab. He alleged that thousands of corruption cases have been reported there, but neither action was taken against the culprits nor the embezzled government money was recovered.
10 thousand embezzlement cases and the game of bushes
Attacking with figures, the Agriculture Minister said that out of 13 thousand 304 gram panchayats of Punjab, social audit was conducted only in 5 thousand 915. In this, 10 thousand 653 cases of financial embezzlement were found, but the action remained zero. In the name of cleaning roads and canals, money was withdrawn by making fake and over-estimates. The limit was reached when money was spent on works under MNREGA which were not approved, such as bush clearing, soil filling and bund construction. Even after the central team recommended investigation and recovery, the Mann government did not take any action.

Laborers’ tears and Mamta’s temple of love
Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that on one hand the workers in Punjab are crying that they are not getting wages, corruption is at its peak, but the government is only busy in passing resolutions against the laws of the Centre. He also took a dig at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s announcement of building a Mahakal temple in North Bengal. He said that some people remember religion and temples only during elections. They remain silent when religious institutions are attacked, but now faith is being used for electoral gains.
