Shoaib Malik Breaks Silence on Third Marriage Rumours, Warns of Legal Action
Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has publicly addressed rumours suggesting he is planning to get married for the third time, firmly dismissing the claims as false and fabricated.
In a detailed statement, Malik said the speculation surrounding his personal life had reached a point where he felt compelled to respond, adding that misinformation and unverified stories were being circulated without his consent.
Clarifies Timeline of Personal Life
Malik stated that his first marriage ended in early 2023 and described the separation as mutual. He emphasised that both parties had agreed to co-parent their child respectfully. He further clarified that he remarried only after the separation.
The cricketer, who is currently married to actor Sana Javedsaid he had intentionally kept his private life away from public debate out of respect for his family. However, he added that his silence was now being misused to spread baseless narratives.
According to Malik, some reports even attempted to link him with individuals he claimed he had never met.
‘Rumours Are Affecting My Family’
Malik expressed concern over the emotional impact of the rumours on his loved ones, especially his wife and son.
He alleged that his wife had been unfairly targeted online despite having no involvement in the controversy. Calling such behaviour unacceptable, Malik said the issue had moved beyond gossip and was now affecting people close to him.
One of the strongest aspects of his statement focused on his son. Malik said his child is now old enough to read such stories, and the spread of fabricated narratives for views and online engagement was causing distress within the family.
Warning of Legal Action
While acknowledging that public figures are subject to scrutiny, Malik stressed that there must be boundaries.
He urged people to stop spreading misinformation about his personal life and warned that continued circulation of false claims would result in strict legal action against individuals or organisations responsible.
The statement marks a rare direct intervention by Shoaib Malik into his personal matters, signalling that he is prepared to take stronger steps if speculation continues.
