Shraddha Kapoor charges more than Alia Bhatt, Ananya Panday; Shakti Kapoor says he’s proud of her daughter

Shraddha Kapoor might not do a lot of films every year, but she sure has a huge fan base. The actress has admirers who genuinely root for her, and her fan pages are always debating about how she is indeed the most talented actress in the film industry.

Shraddha has been compared many times to her contemporaries, and most have wondered why she does fewer films than the rest. Netizens are always divided, trying to understand if she is choosy or gets fewer opportunities. Actor and Shraddha’s father, Shakti Kapoor, recently spoke about these rumours and addressed the questions that the audience had in their minds for a fairly long time.

In an interview for a podcast, The Powerful Humans, legendary actor Shakti Kapoor opened up about his bond with his daughter Shraddha. He also went ahead and spoke about why she tends to be choosy about the movies she picks and the film roles she takes on.

During the interview, a question was thrown at Shakti about how there are constant talks about Shraddha receiving fewer opportunities than Alia Bhatt and Ananya Panday.

Shakti replied to this saying, “Woh picturein hi kam karti hai. Best karti hai. Par paisa zyada leti hai. In sabse zyada paisa leti hai. She does just one or two films a year (She only works on select films. She does a great job. But she charges a lot of money. More than anyone else. She does just one or two films a year).”

He very categorically clarified that Shraddha herself chooses to work in fewer films and is choosy about the roles she plays. He brushed off rumours of her having fewer work opportunity that the others and, while doing so, remarked, “She is not getting work?”

Shakti while talking about Shraddha’s personality on the podcast, also mentioned, “Bahut ziddi hai… She is very stubborn and does what her heart says. She has certain ethics and follows them strictly… We share a great relationship. Sometimes we fight, sometimes we plan holidays, sometimes we discuss films. I am very proud of her – her performances are outstanding. She is a very fine actor.”

In terms of work, Shraddha was last seen in the chartbuster hit horror-comedy film ‘Stree 2’ opposite Rajkumar Rao. As per speculation, she will also be a part of Stree 3 and Bhediya 2.
