However, now the box office collection of this film is not successful in reaching the club of Rs 600 crores.
Strong earnings with the release
The film 'Stree 2' started earning well from the first week of its release. Its performance not only took its premiere earnings to new heights, but its second, third, fourth and fifth week earnings also broke all records. At present the total earning of this film is Rs 597.51 crore. But its box office journey is facing obstacles since its release on the OTT platform.
After the release of the film, not a single big film came from which it could take advantage. The crowd of viewers has already seen 'Stree 2', hence now they are not showing interest in watching it a second time. Apart from this, big films like 'Singham Again' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' are going to be released on November 1, which can further impact the earnings of 'Stree 2'.
The film could not cross Rs 600 even in the 10th week.
The film earned only Rs 3 lakh on the 10th Friday of its release, while on Saturday it reached Rs 10 lakh. However, it still needs around Rs 2.5 crore to join the Rs 600 crore club.
'Stree 2' also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi, with guest appearances from stars like Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia.
