Shreyas Iyer News In Hindi: Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer, who was hoping to make a comeback in Team India, has got a shock. He has not been able to play the next match against Mumbai in Ranji Trophy. BCCI has informed that Shreyas has suffered an injury due to which he will be given rest for at least a week. Due to this, he will not take part in the match against Tripura in Mumbai.
Iyer is continuously seen playing domestic cricket. Recently, after scoring a century against Maharashtra, he had said that no matter what people think, I have to listen to my body because I know how many limits I have crossed in the last few years, but I take the right decision based on that. I hope my team does the same. However, Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) sources said that the rest of the team will leave for Agartala on Wednesday morning, but Iyer will not be there. MCA is not announcing any replacement as it announced the 16-member squad on Monday.
Iyer had back surgery last year. After his return, he played and performed well in both the Asia Cup and the World Cup but still lost his place in the team. Recently hopes were raised for his comeback at the national level. Shreyas had recently said that obviously I was a little hurt with my injuries but it is good to score a century after a long time.
