Shreyas Talpade played the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 'Emergency'
Mumbai: Actor Shreyas Talpade will be seen in the role of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 'Emergency' directed by Kangana Ranaut. The actor introduced fans to his character by sharing a post on social media.
The actor, who is active on social media, shared one of his videos on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “Experience the incredible transformation of a poet, a politician, a revolutionary as Shreyas Talpade transforms into one of India's most iconic and beloved leaders, Atal Bihari. Brings alive the character of Vajpayee. Watch Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency' in theaters from January 17.”
Let us tell you that the actor will be seen playing the role of former PM in 'Emergency'. The makers recently released the first look of Shreyas from the film. Apart from directing 'Emergency', Kangana will also be seen acting in the film. In the film, she will be seen in the role of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
In the film, veteran actor Anupam will be seen in the role of Bharat Ratna awardee Jaiprakash Narayan. Kangana Ranaut recently told about the story of the film. He had said, “After a long journey full of challenges, I am happy that our film 'Emergency' is finally ready for release on the big screen on January 17. This story is not just about a controversial leader, it is based on themes that are relevant even today, making this journey both difficult and important.”
Kangana had further said, “Releasing just a week before Republic Day, the film is the right time to contemplate the strength of our Constitution and experience the film with your loved ones.”
He further added, “Emergency is a cinematic milestone that challenges audiences to question, connect and remember the price of freedom.” Kangana Ranaut is the lead actor along with the producer-director of 'Emergency', which is ready to be released in theaters on January 17. 'Emergency' also features actors like Kangana Ranaut, Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher along with Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Vishak Nair as well as late Satish Kaushik. Zee Studios, Manikarnika Films and Renu Pitti have produced the film. Sanchit Balhara and G.V. Prakash Kumar has composed the music of the film.
