After a successful seven-year stint, Atre decided to move on, a decision significantly influenced by her daughter.
In a recent revelation, Shubhangi shared that it was her daughter’s insightful observation that prompted her to consider new professional avenues. Her daughter expressed concerns that continuously portraying the same character might lead to typecasting, making it challenging for Atre to explore diverse roles in the future. Shubhangi acknowledged this advice, stating, “My daughter is quite smart. She recently told me, ‘Mumma, it has been too long playing this one character. If you do this for any longer, you will forever be known as Angoori Bhabhi.'” This direct and honest feedback from her daughter made Shubhangi seriously reconsider her career trajectory, leading to the decision to step away from the role that brought her immense fame.
She further elaborated that while she deeply cherished her time on “Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain!” and felt grateful for the love and recognition, her daughter’s words made her realize the importance of growth and embracing new challenges as an artist. Atre is now keen to explore different genres and characters, aiming to showcase her versatility beyond the beloved Angoori Bhabhi.
