Shubman Gill Retained as Captain by LSG for IPL 2025
The Gujarat Titans have retained their captain Shubman Gill ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. After securing the title in their inaugural season in 2022, they completed as runners in the 2023 season.
After Hardik Pandya moved to MI ahead of the IPL 2024 season, Shubman Gill has been named as the captain of the franchise and will be looking back to return to winning ways in the upcoming season.

With a total of INR 51 Crore having been used for the retention, the Gujarat franchise will be moving into the mega auction with a remaining purse value of INR 69 Crore.
With a fresh three-year cycle starting with the IPL 2025 season next year, the upcoming retentions will be crucial for all the teams to adopt new strategies for success.
The IPL 2025 Mega Auction will take place in November or December with BCCI exploring the options of holding the event overseas, Riyadh in the United Arab Emirates has emerged as the frontrunner while Muscat, Doha and Riyadh are also being considered.
