Siddharth Anand said, there are expectations about ‘King’, but does not want to take pressure.

Mumbai There is tremendous excitement among the audience ever since the announcement of Shahrukh Khan’s much-awaited film King. The film is being directed by Siddharth Anand, who has made successful films like Pathan, War and Fighter. Before the release of the film, the director has openly told whether he is feeling pressure regarding this big project.

‘No pressure, but expectations are high’
In an interview, Siddharth Anand said that he would not say that there is no pressure, because expectations naturally increase when working with a megastar like Shahrukh Khan. He said, “Expectations are definitely there, but if I let them dominate me, I would be making a mistake in filmmaking. If there was a fixed formula for success, every film would be a blockbuster.”

Focus on making honest films, not formulas
Siddharth told that he had not made Pathan keeping any mathematics or box office numbers in mind.
According to him, when a filmmaker starts running after the ‘success formula’, he starts thinking again and again about what the audience will like, and this harms creativity.
He said that the entire team is working hard on King and their aim is to regain that connect with the audience.

Starcast is also special
Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan will be seen in important roles along with Shahrukh Khan in the film King.
This will be the first time that Shahrukh and his daughter Suhana Khan will be seen together in a film. This will be Suhana’s first film to be released in theatres. Earlier, she was seen in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, which was released on OTT.

Deepika-Shahrukh’s hit pair together again
This will be the sixth film of Deepika Padukone and Shahrukh Khan together. Before this, both have worked together in successful films like Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Pathan and Jawan.

Release date fixed
The film King will be released in theaters on December 24, 2026 and is being considered as one of the biggest films of the year.
