Siddharth-Ashika Ranganath’s Miss You release postponed
The makers of Siddharth and Ashika Ranganath’s Miss You shared on Wednesday that the film’s release is getting postponed owing to the heavy rain prediction in Tamil Nadu for the next few days.
In the official release from the film’s production house, 7 Miles Per Second Productions, it was stated that the “safety and convenience” of the audience are their top priorities. It further read that it’s best to delay the release to ensure a “safer and more enjoyable movie-going experience” for everyone. Though the new release date wasn’t yet finalised, the statement read that an update regarding the same would be made soon.
The production house thanked all its distributors for their “unwavering support” in the rescheduling of the film.
The recently released trailer of the film shows Siddharth plays Vasu, an aspiring filmmaker who falls in love with Subbulakshmi (Ashika Ranganath) and is in crosshairs with a politician. While the trailer calls the film an “unusual love story,” the scenes featured in it are from any typical Tamil commercial entertainer.
The romantic comedy is directed by N Rajasekar, who previously made Maapla Singam and Kalathil Sandhippom. The film has a script penned by Ashok R along with the director.
Backed by Samuel Mathew's 7 Miles Per Second, the upcoming film also stars JP, Ponvannan, Naren, Anupama, Rama, Bala Saravanan, Karunakaran, Maaran and Sashtika.
The film’s technical team includes music director Ghibran, cinematographer KG Venkatesh, and editor Dinesh Ponraj.
