He was suffering from a serious disease like hemophilia since birth and in recent times his health was continuously deteriorating. Despite all efforts he could not be saved.

Funeral held in Harare

Mohammed Mahdi was laid to rest at Warren Hills Cemetery in Harare on 30 December. Family, close relatives and acquaintances bid him farewell with tearful eyes. During this time, there was sadness and silence in the entire atmosphere.

Zimbabwe Cricket Board expressed condolences

The Zimbabwe Cricket Board said in its statement that the organization expresses its deepest condolences to its T20 captain Sikandar Raza and his family.
