The makers of Silambarasan TR-Vetri Maaran’s film Arsan announced that the second schedule of the film has kicked off in Chennai on Monday.
A picture of STR joining the sets of the film was unveiled with the announcement.
The film, which is currently in production, is part of the Go to Chennai universe. Vetri Maaran said earlier that the screenplay he originally wrote for the 2018 Dhanush-starrer will be utilised for Arsan. While he wrote the script with Silambarasan as his lead, the director had to make changes to make it. Arsan is expected to feature notable names from Go to Chennai. However, an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited. Although they exist in the same universe, Dhanush’s character Anbu is confirmed not to be part of Arsan. In addition, the film also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Yogalakshmi, of Tourist Family fame.
Kalaipuli S Thanu of V Creations is producing Arsan.
