According to the FIR lodged by the family on Friday, the accused youth is a resident of the same area. He continuously tortured the girl mentally and acid attack Threatened several times. The accused had reportedly said that if she did not obey him, he would ‘taint her for life’.

The accused forcibly had sex with the victim several times

It has been told in the FIR that the accused forcibly had physical relations with the victim several times by putting mental pressure on her. During this time, he also secretly recorded videos, about which the girl was not aware. Later, these videos were used as a weapon of blackmailing and the accused kept forcing the girl to agree to his conditions by continuously threatening to make the videos viral.

The accused uploaded pictures and videos on social media

The situation became more frightening when the accused allegedly uploaded objectionable pictures and videos of the victim on social media platforms. After this the girl became completely broken and tried to commit suicide. A family member of the victim said, “She has stopped going to school and is under extreme mental stress. She is feeling helpless and humiliated.”

Case registered against the accused under several sections including POCSO Act

According to the police, a case has been registered against the accused under several serious sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). These include Section 64 (punishment for rape), Section 77 (sexual harassment), Section 79 (insulting the dignity of woman), Section 308(3) (extortion by threat), Section 351(2) (criminal intimidation) as well as POCSO Act.

According to intelligence input, the accused is currently hiding in Bengaluru. Cachar Police is tracking the digital activities of the accused in collaboration with interstate agencies and cyber crime unit. Police claim that the accused will be arrested soon.
