Silkayara 41: The story of the Silkayara tunnel rescue mission on the big screen; Aamir Khan Productions Announces ‘Silkyara 41’

The film ‘Silkyara 41’ based on the famous Silkyara tunnel rescue mission in Uttarakhand has been officially announced. Aamir Khan Productions (India), Mind Blowing Films (Australia) and Kabir Khan Films jointly produce the film. Produced in collaboration between India and Australia, the film will present an inspiring story of human determination, courage and international cooperation on the big screen.

The film ‘Silkyara 41’ is based on the historic rescue mission of workers trapped in Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarakhand. The contribution of world renowned tunneling expert and Australia’s local hero Arnold Dicks, who played a key role in the campaign, is also featured in the film.

The story of the film is written by the famous screenwriter of Australia Andrew Anastasios. National Award winner Kabir Khan, who directed blockbusters like ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ’83’, will direct the film. The film will witness a unique confluence of creativity, storytelling and production skills from Indian and Australian cinema.
