Silver Prices Today: Silver prices have recently set new records. It is continuously increasing and shows no signs of stopping. An increase of Rs 1 lakh in the last 30-35 days and then another increase of about Rs 40 thousand in a few days, this is not a trivial thing. In the last few years, due to shortage of silver in the market, demand exceeding the supply from mines and increasing use in various industries, the prices of silver are continuously going up.
Silver created a new record in the international market. On Friday, January 23, silver prices crossed the historical level of $100 per ounce for the first time. In India too, silver prices crossed Rs 3,40,000 per kg.
Situation of Saturday, January 24
Silver prices in the country have broken all records. On Saturday, January 24, the price of silver in the bullion market was Rs 3,40,010 per kg. Almost the same sentiment was seen in Delhi and Mumbai also. Silver prices in Chennai reached Rs 3,45,100 per kg. It was even higher in Hyderabad. The price of silver in Ahmedabad and Vadodara is around Rs 3,40,100 per kg.
Silver price increased 4 times in a year
A year ago, on January 24, 2025, the price of silver was around Rs 84,792 per kg. Today, on January 24, 2026, according to the bullion market (bullion-rates.com), it has crossed Rs 3,40,000 per kg. That means in just one year the price of silver has increased almost 4 times (4.01 times). Overall, compared to last year, silver has become costlier by Rs 2,55,208 per kg, i.e. a huge increase of about 301%.

Record rise in silver
In the international market, silver crossed the level of $100 per ounce, due to which its price continued to rise. The spot price of silver rose 4.2% to $100.29 during New York trading. Silver prices had already more than doubled by the end of 2025 and are up 40% so far in the new year. Silver has registered an increase of 225% since US President Donald Trump’s return to the White House.
