Jewel Changi Airport in Singapore has been awarded the world’s best airport wellness experience by air travel experts at Forbes Travel Guide’s inaugural Luxury Air Travel Awards.
Situated in Terminal 1 of Changi Airport, this nature-inspired entertainment and retail complex is lauded for its “unique” Forest Valley and Rain Vortex gardens.
The complex is home to the HSBC Rain Vortex, a 40-meter-high indoor waterfall, known as the tallest in the world. Encircling the waterfall is the Shiseido Forest, featuring 2,500 tall trees and 100,000 diverse shrubs that contribute to air purification and a serene atmosphere.
The Jewel Changi waterfall is free of charge for visitors and operates daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
For fitness enthusiasts, Jewel Changi offers spin classes, indoor cycling sessions typically held in fitness studios, on Friday evenings and at various times on weekends. These 45-minute sessions are priced at S$28 (US$21) and are designed to aid in weight loss, enhance cardiovascular health, and tone specific muscle groups.

Air travel experts surveyed the globe to compile a list of nominees, with winners selected through an exclusive survey of 5,000 industry insiders, including luxury travel advisors and frequent fliers. Forbes Travel Guide experts then validated the results.
Changi Airport was also recognized as the best international airport by the awards.
Founded in 1958 as the Mobil Travel Guide, Forbes Travel Guide is the oldest travel rating service in the U.S. and the pioneer of the five-star hotel rating system.
