Singer Garry Sandhu attacked during live show in Australia, here’s what happened next

New Delhi: In a harrowing turn of events, a terrifying incident took place at a recent concert of Garry Sandhu. You will be shocked to know that the renowned Punjabi singer-actor was attacked onstage during his performance in New South Wales.

According to a tribuneindia.com report, the 40-year-old star raised his middle finger toward the crowd. It is to be noted that the gesture is widely considered socially inappropriate. This provoked a fan to storm onto the stage to confront Garry.

The situation escalated into a verbal altercation, during which the attendee attempted to grab Garry by the neck. However, the organising team and police intervened immediately. They restrained the attacker and took him into custody.

If you don’t like someone, don’t attend,” commented an X (formerly known as Twitter) user. Another remarked, “Common occurrence in Punjabi music shows abroad. Most younger guys are drunk and make life hell for onstage artists, especially women, with vulgarity, catcalls and abuses. Families see this and then stop attending such shows!”
