After a lot of anticipation, Ajay Devgn’s action-starrer Singham Again has finally hit the big screens. The movie was one of the most highly awaited releases, and fans couldn’t contain their excitement on the day of its launch. Singham Again premiered in theatres on November 1, 2024. Now, the Day 1 box office collection predictions have begun. According to industry tracker Sacnilk.com, the movie has collected between Rs 31 to Rs 40 crore in India across all languages, which is considered a decent haul.
Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, which is the third instalment in the Singham series, boasts a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, and Jackie Shroff. According to insights shared by trade analyst Rohit Jaiswal, Singham Again’s opening figure could be around Rs 30 crore by 6 PM, with expectations to rise to anywhere between Rs 40 to Rs 45 crore.
According to Sacnilk.com, the occupancy rate for Singham Again was also decent. The morning shows witnessed an occupancy rate of 9.39 per cent, which jumped to 71.90 per cent for the afternoon shows. Cities like Jaipur, Surat, Mumbai, and Pune recorded the highest occupancy rates. On the other hand, the national capital, Delhi NCR, held the largest number of shows at 1,304, with an occupancy of around 50 per cent.
Singham Again Review
The review of Singham Again by India.com states, “Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Again hit theatres on Friday, November 1, and brings plenty of excitement with new faces in Shetty’s cop universe. Arjun Kapoor stars as the villain Danger Lanka, while Deepika Padukone enters as Lady Singham, Shakti Shetty, and Tiger Shroff appears as ACP Satya.”
It continues, “Alongside these fresh additions, we also see familiar faces like Ranveer Singh as Simmba and Akshay Kumar as Veer Suryavanshi. The film delivers on classic Rohit Shetty expectations: high-energy action, cars flying, and whistle-worthy scenes. While the storyline follows a predictable path, drawing on Ramayana themes, it doesn’t detract from the overall entertainment. This isn’t a film for story twists but for big, bold performances and adrenaline-fueled sequences.”
Apart from Singham Again, another significant release also took place on November 1, 2024: Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The movie is expected to earn around Rs 25.87 crore net in India on its first day, which will be less compared to Rohit Shetty’s action thriller.
