The heavy traffic jam on NH-106 near Sinheshwarnath Dham is going to get relief soon. The Central Government has approved the construction of 11.272 km long bypass, which will significantly reduce the traffic pressure in the main market and temple area.

Where will the bypass start and how far will it go?

This new bypass will start from Manikpur Chowk of Madhepura on NH-106 and will again connect with NH-106 near Budhave of Sinheshwar. During this time the road will pass through Rampatti, Gauripur, Mansoori Tola and Medical College. This new route has been approved in the meeting of the Road Transport Ministry in Delhi.

What will be the form of bypass?

According to the proposal, the total width of the bypass will be 24 meters. In this, a 10 meter wide main road will be built and 2-2 meter shoulders will be made on both sides. 6 to 7 underpasses will be built to keep the traffic flowing without affecting the local traffic. Apart from this, construction of a big bridge is also included in this project.

work preparation intensified

Madhepura DM Abhishek Ranjan and NH Engineer Satyendra Pathak said that Ayonija Construction Agency has been given the responsibility of survey, soil testing and preparing DPR (Detail Project Report). The DPR is expected to be ready by 28th February. Officials say that the alignment has been decided in such a way that there is minimum damage to houses and private properties.

There will be great relief from traffic jam

Presently Veerpur-Bihpur NH-106 passes through the dense market of Sinheshwar, due to which there is severe traffic jam every day. After the bypass is built, heavy vehicles like trucks and buses will move directly from Manikpur Chowk towards Budhavay. This will provide relief from traffic to both Sinheshwar Dham and Madhepura district headquarters. At present, the official letter from the Center is awaited, but work has started at the technical level.
