Famous OTT platform Prime Video on Friday announced that it will start streaming its upcoming Telugu original comedy drama series 'Sivarapalli' from January 24 this year.
Produced under the banner of The Viral Fever (TVF), Sivarapalli is directed by Bhaskar Maurya and written by Shanmukh Prashant.
On Friday, Prime Video also released the trailer of the light-hearted series. Spread over eight episodes, Sivarapalli will offer a heart-warming glimpse of rural India, brought to life by a brilliantly talented cast featuring Raag Mayur, Muralidhar Gaur, Roopa Lakshmi, Uday Gurla, Sunny Palle and Pavani Karanam in the lead roles .
Sivarapalli will premiere on Prime Video on January 24 in Telugu, with English subtitles, in India and over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Sivarapalli is a light-hearted story of a young man who comes from a busy city and grapples with the quirks of rural life and its eccentric inhabitants. The story follows an engineering graduate named Shyam, who unexpectedly lands the role of Panchayat Secretary in the remote village of Sivarapalli. He is reluctant at first, but soon he is caught up in a comedy of mistakes, which has many ups and downs as he tries to adapt to the unfamiliar environment.
The trailer gives a glimpse of Shyam's journey, where he meets strange but lovable villagers. Amidst the challenges and surprising moments of happiness, the question remains—will Shyam be able to find his place in village life or will it overwhelm him?
