Either corrupt officials are taking advantage of liquor ban or politicians are making money. In every panchayat, people are dying due to drinking alcohol. No one is registering a case due to fear.

Cases of deaths due to poisonous liquor increase during Diwali and Chhath and this trend has started now. In Chhapra and Siwan, 12 people have died under suspicious circumstances and dozens of people are said to be injured, some people have also lost their eyesight. The administration has confirmed that six people have died due to drinking poisonous liquor.
