Cheteshwar Pujara has described India, South Africa, Sri Lanka and New Zealand as strong contenders for the semi-finals. According to him, India and Sri Lanka can get the benefit of domestic conditions. Also, New Zealand and South Africa are balanced and experienced teams, which perform well in big matches. According to Pujara’s estimate, the journey of Pakistan, England, Zimbabwe and West Indies may end in Super-8 only.

Opinion of Yuzvendra Chahal and Mohammad Kaif

Indian leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has considered India, South Africa, England and New Zealand as the teams to reach the semi-finals. He clearly says that these four teams appear to be the strongest on the basis of current form and balance. Mohammad Kaif has also supported Chahal’s prediction and has given place to these four teams in the top-4.
