Slasher Horror Movie Pays Homage to Scream, IKWYDLS
Uncork’d Entertainment has shared the first Happy Halloween trailerpreviewing the upcoming slasher horror movie that pays homage to many past classics. Happy Halloween is set to release on April 14, 2026, across all digital platforms.
The movie follows Hadley, “a teenager returning home after surviving a traumatic Halloween prank gone horribly wrong. As she attempts to rebuild her life, a new wave of brutal killings rocks her community—each murder broadcast across social media in real time. With suspicion falling on nearly everyone around her, Hadley must confront her past and uncover the truth before the killer strikes again,” according to the film’s official synopsis.

What happens in the Happy Halloween trailer?
The trailer follows a town that is plagued by a killer that is putting people on display in the lead up to Halloween. The trailer highlights a group of friends who believes that one girl’s ex-boyfriend is the one behind it.
Happy Halloween stars Emma Reinagel, Aline O’Neill, Cameron Mabie, Graham Weldin, and Jack Cathcart. The movie is written and directed by Brittney Greer. *Uncork’d Entertainment described the film as pulling from past slasher classics, such as Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and more.
The movie had its debut at Pigeon Shrine FrightFest, and has appeared at a number of horror-centric festivals, including GASPI Horror Film Festival. The movie took home the Best Feature Film prize at the Berryville Film Festival.
