Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government has announced big relief for farmers. Under the new initiative started by the state agriculture department, 40 to 80 percent subsidy will be available on agricultural equipment. Its objective is to reduce the hard work of farmers, increase production and improve income.
Who can benefit?
The government official said that all the farmers, who are registered under the Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanization and other agricultural schemes, can book the machines online till 12 midnight of January 21, 2026. For booking, farmers will have to use the agridarshan.up.gov.in portal.
Which instruments are covered under the scheme
The scheme covers various types of agricultural equipment:
Hitech Hub for Custom Hiring
Agricultural Drones and Single Farming Machines
crop residue management equipment
Farm Machinery Bank and Custom Hiring Center Equipments
Batch Dryer, Maize Cellar and Popping Machine under Accelerated Maize Development Program
According to the agriculture officer, these machines will help farmers in saving time and labor as well as reducing production costs.
Subsidy and token money
Under the scheme, subsidy ranging from 40% to 80% of the cost of the equipment will be available. Farmers will have to deposit token money during online booking. For instruments on which the subsidy ranges from ₹10,000 to ₹1,00,000, ₹2,500 will have to be deposited. For instruments with subsidy more than ₹1,00,000, ₹5,000 will have to be deposited.

Small and medium farmers will be able to benefit from Custom Hiring Center and Farm Machinery Bank. Adoption of modern technology will save time in farming. Farmers’ income will increase due to increase in production and reduction in costs. This initiative of the Uttar Pradesh government is being considered an important step towards connecting farmers with modern agricultural equipment and making farming more profitable.
