Smriti Mandhana recorded a big achievement for India, became the second female cricketer to achieve this feat.

Delhi: The Indian women's cricket team faced Ireland in the first match of the three-match ODI series, where Smriti Mandhana performed brilliantly and set a big record. Mandhana completed 4000 runs in ODI cricket, and became the second Indian woman batsman to do so.

In this match played at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot, Mandhana scored 41 runs in 29 balls, which included six fours and one six. With this achievement, she became the 15th female batsman in the world to complete 4000 runs in ODI cricket. Mandhana also captained the team in the 95th match of her career, because regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur has been rested for the series.

Second big name after Mithali Raj

28-year-old Mandhana crossed the 4000-run mark in ODIs and became the second Indian woman player after Mithali Raj to achieve this feat. He completed this record in the ninth over of the innings. Mandhana has 29 half-centuries and 9 centuries in her name in ODI, which is proof of her excellence.
