Smriti Mandhana bounces back amid personal turmoil ahead of SL T20Is

NEW DELHI: Smriti Mandhana put off off-field issues and returned to her element, where she excels the most. The Indian women’s vice-captain hit the nets hard, preparing for the five-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, starting at home on December 21.

The past few weeks have been challenging for Smriti on a personal front, ever since her wedding to music composer Palash Muchhal was postponed. The delay came after her father suffered an unexpected medical emergency on November 23, the day she was supposed to get married.

Shortly after, reports emerged that Palash, the groom-to-be, had also been admitted to the hospital due to stress. The sequence of events fueled widespread speculation online, leaving fans both worried and puzzled.

Smriti finally addresses rumors
