Indian batting sensation Smriti Mandhana has once again proved why she is considered one of the most elite players in modern cricket. In the latest ICC Women’s Player Rankings released on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, the Indian vice-captain has officially reclaimed the World No. 1 spot in the Women’s ODI Batting Rankings.

A Stellar Rise to the Top Mandhana’s ascent follows a series of clinical performances in the recently concluded series against Australia. With 790 rating points, she has overtaken South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt to sit at the pinnacle of the 50-over format. Her consistent ability to provide explosive yet stable starts for India has been the key driver behind this achievement.

T20I Dominance and Key Gains In the shortest format of the game, Mandhana has successfully retained her No. 2 position in the T20I Batting Rankings. She remains the highest-ranked Indian in T20Is, followed by the hard-hitting Shafali Verma, who comfortably holds the 6th spot.

Major Move for Captain Harmanpreet Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has also made significant strides in the latest update. Kaur has jumped to the 14th position in T20Issignaling a strong return to form as India prepares for the upcoming World Cup cycle. Meanwhile, in ODIs, Kaur remains a dominant force, currently ranked 7th in the world.

Bowling & All-Rounder Updates India’s success isn’t limited to batting. Spin wizard Deepti Sharma has climbed to the 3rd spot in both the T20I Bowling and All-Rounder rankings. Pacer Renuka Singh Thakur continues to lead the pace attack from the 6th position globally, while young seamer Arundhati Reddy is knocking on the door of the top 10, currently placed 11th.
