Smriti Mandhana’s first post after postponing her marriage with Palash Muchhal
Mumbai Smriti Mandhana’s first post after postponing her wedding is going viral. In the new post, Mandhana has shared a video of collaboration with a brand on Instagram and in it she has shared the moment of victory in the semi-finals and final of the Women’s World Cup 2025. Smriti has done this post by writing about winning moments, real conversations and rituals which are complete game changers. In this video of Smriti, which surfaced for the first time after postponing her marriage with Palash Muchhal, fans’ attention fell on her hands from which the engagement ring was seen missing.
Despite completing 12 years in international cricket, the team’s dream remained unfulfilled in every major tournament. He said that there was only one thought during the entire World Cup. When will India see the moment of victory? Mandhana said that when that time finally came, she felt as if she was overwhelmed with happiness like a child. He told that at that time he did not even get many photographs taken.”
Referring to her batting and fielding experience, Smriti said, “During the match, at the crease, she just focused on playing as per the team’s requirement. But while fielding, she kept remembering God. She said that during the entire 300 balls, she kept praying every time that the team gets quick wickets and the match goes in India’s favour.”
Earlier, due to Smriti Mandhana’s father Srinivas falling ill, the marriage of the Indian women’s team’s veteran cricketer and musician Palash Muchhal was postponed indefinitely. Mandhana and Palash’s marriage was to take place on Sunday (23 November). During this time, Indian women’s cricket team’s star batsman Smriti Mandhana deleted social media posts related to the celebrations before her marriage with musician Palash Muchhal.
However, after the viral social media posts before the engagement and other celebrations disappeared from Smriti’s page, speculations about the relationship between the couple intensified. The video of the engagement announcement was also no longer visible on her page in which Smriti was dancing with some of her teammates from the Indian team on the song ‘Samjho Ho Hi Gaya’ from ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’.
It was actually shared by her teammate and close friend Jemimah Rodrigues but it was not visible on her Instagram account either. It had received more than one million likes. Palash’s playback singer sister Palak had tried to calm the speculations by sharing a short note saying that the wedding was postponed only due to the health of the bride-to-be’s father.
