Second light snowfall of the season in Shimla, tourists arriving in large numbers

Himachal Pradesh Snowfall: It is snowing heavily in the mountains. Due to which the number of tourists has increased in the hilly areas. Meanwhile, on Monday, Himachal Pradesh capital Shimla received the second light snowfall of the season. Due to which not only the tourists but also the local people and farmers became happy. Although icy winds are blowing in the area, people are still enjoying the snowfall. During this time, a large number of tourists were seen enjoying the snowfall on the Ridge and Mall Road of the city.

Snowfall occurred in these areas of Himachal also

According to the Meteorological Department, snowfall occurred in many other areas of the state on Monday. An official of the Meteorological Department said that apart from the tourist places around Kufri and Narkanda, there was snowfall in the higher reaches including Khadapathar, Chaurdhar and Chanshal on Monday. Let us tell you that earlier the local meteorological department had also predicted rain and snowfall in the middle and higher altitude areas on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

Apple farmers also happy with snowfall

Let us tell you that snowfall is beneficial for the apple crop. That is why it is called white manure. Due to snowfall, farmers of Upper Shimla are hopeful of good yield. It is noteworthy that apple cultivation contributes about Rs 5,000 crore to the economy of Himachal Pradesh.

Number of tourists will increase in Himachal

The snowfall is expected to further increase the number of tourists in the state, which will boost the local tourism business. A local hotelier says that due to the snowfall attracting tourists, the number of hotel stays is certain to increase. Not only this, the snowfall before Christmas and the prediction of more snowfall in the coming days can increase the number of tourists by 50 percent.

Cold wave continues in lower areas of Himachal

Shimla Hotel and Tourism Stakeholders Association President MK Seth had earlier said that there is huge booking for Christmas and more than 30 percent advance booking has been done for the New Year. Meanwhile, intense cold wave continued in the lower hills of Himachal Pradesh, cold wave conditions were observed in Una, Hamirpur, Chamba and Mandi and Sundernagar remained in the grip of severe cold wave.
