So many countries have come together to save Greenland from external danger, now a big threat for Trump!
Recently, US President Donald Trump had given a big statement regarding Greenland… There was an uproar after the statement of the US President… Many countries of the world had given their reaction in this matter. At that time Trump said that Russia and China could take advantage of Greenland, which could pose a threat to America’s national security.
Now a big news is coming out in this matter… where on the request of Denmark, NATO countries have decided to send military personnel to Greenland. So far, Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, Netherlands and Canada have increased their military presence in Greenland. This step has been taken to protect Greenland from possible external threats.
Sweden was the first to announce this initiative. Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said his country would send military personnel to Greenland at Denmark’s request. This sending was done under the Danish military exercise ‘Operation Arctic Endurance’.
After this, the German government also decided to send troops to Greenland. Germany said that it will send 13 soldiers to Greenland as part of a reconnaissance mission along with other European countries. The Defense Ministry said that this mission, started at the request of Denmark, will run from Thursday to Saturday, the purpose of which is to boost the security of the region. This may also include maritime surveillance.
France also stepped forward in this regard and sent military personnel to Greenland. A French military officer, while giving information to a media report, said that France has sent military personnel to Greenland so that they can participate in a military exercise in which the armies of many allied countries will be involved.
However, the main objective of this military deployment is not yet completely clear. On the one hand, NATO countries want to show that they take Trump’s security concerns seriously. With this step they want to send the message that the plan to occupy Greenland is motivated by the fear of encroachment by Russia and China and the best solution to deal with this fear is to work in cooperation with NATO.
On the other hand, the deployment of European and Canadian troops in Greenland may force Trump to think about whether he would want to enter into a military confrontation with America’s oldest and closest allies over the occupation of Greenland.
For information, let us tell you that all the countries have sent military aid on a very small scale to Greenland, due to which the NATO countries have symbolically given a message of solidarity instead of adopting an aggressive stance.
