New Delhi: Meta Company is now looking for new ways to earn money from its big social media apps Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. According to recent news, the company is preparing to launch premium subscription plans on these apps. However, the good thing is that the main and basic features of these apps will remain completely free.

Users can still continue to post, chat and share photos without paying. Meta is thinking of asking for money only to provide additional facilities.

Why is Meta bringing subscription?

Meta wants to know whether people are willing to pay for more control, better privacy and advanced AI tools. These new plans will give more productivity, creativity and flexibility to the users. The important thing is that the subscription of each app will be different.

This means that paid plans of Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp will not come bundled together. The company will test different features and move forward based on user feedback.

Instagram will launch subscription first

Additionally, Meta’s AI video tool Vibes may also come on a free-plus-paid model. Free users will get the facility to create limited videos, while subscription users will be able to create more videos.

These new subscriptions will be different from Meta Verified. Meta Verified is mainly for creators and businesses, in which verified badges and support are available. The new plan will be for common users who use the app daily. Meta will improve these plans by taking feedback from users. These tests will start in the coming months.
