Jabalpur: A heart-wrenching case has come to light from Madhya Pradesh, which has put humanity to shame. A 19-year-old girl was not only deceived by the promise of a better job but was also sold to another state. This incident has exposed the dark truth of human trafficking, which is still deeply prevalent in the society.

This case is from Jabalpur district, where a missing complaint of a girl was lodged in the month of December. After the family’s complaint, the police took the matter seriously and started investigation and a special team was formed. On the basis of clues found during the investigation, the police came to know that the girl has been taken to Rajasthan.

Recovered safely from Rajasthan

The police team took immediate action and raided Rajasthan and recovered the girl safely. When he was interrogated, the story he told was very shocking. The victim told that an acquaintance had assured her of getting a job. With this belief, she went with him, but later she was taken to a woman, from where her life completely changed.

The deal was done for Rs 2 lakh

During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused together sold the girl to a person for about Rs 2 lakh. The buyer forcibly married her and started keeping her as his wife. During this period, she was forcibly physically abused for about two months. The girl was forced to live there against her will.

According to the police, many people were involved in this entire matter. A female accused introduced the girl to another person, who further conspired to sell her. This whole matter points towards an organized network, in which people are trapped by luring them with jobs and a better life.

Police have registered a case against four people in this matter. Two of these accused have been arrested, while the search for the rest is ongoing. Officials say that strict action will be taken under sections related to human trafficking and efforts are being made to arrest all the accused soon.
