Sonam Wangchuk’s message to the nation from the hospital, said- ’20th July, second freedom movement please…’
Sonam Wangchuk Message From Hospital: Sonam Wangchuk is currently admitted in Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi. Sonam Wangchuk has given a message to the country from the hospital regarding the ‘Chalo Sansad’ march of Cockroach Janata Party on 20th July. Sonam Wangchuk has sent this message through his wife Gitanjali J Angmo.
Sonam Wangchuk wrote in a social media post – 20th July… Second movement of independence… Fear free India, injustice free India. He further wrote, “Freedom from injustice (like paper leak), freedom from fear (like my illegal detention), India’s second freedom movement, march to Parliament, please make it a big success.” At the end of the post, he wrote, “A message was sent through Geetanjali from my illegal detention in Safdarjung.
Let us tell you that on July 18, Delhi Police picked up social worker Sonam Wangchuk from Jantar Mantar and admitted her to the hospital. Sonam Wangchuk was on hunger strike for the last 20 days supporting the Cockroach Janata Party movement. Now Sonam Wangchuk has shared her message to the country. After Sonam Wangchuk was sent to the hospital on Saturday, his wife Gitanjali Angmo reached Safdarjung Hospital. However, he had accused Delhi Police of not taking the phone inside and not allowing him to meet.
Wife Gitanjali files petition in Delhi High Court to shift to another place
. Meanwhile, his wife Geetanjali J Angmo has reached Delhi High Court against Sonam Wangchuk’s admission to Safdarjung Hospital. Sonam Wangchuk’s wife Geetanjali filed a petition in Delhi High Court saying that this is illegal detention. I do not trust Safdarjung Hospital. Wangchuk should be shifted somewhere else. He alleged that Wangchuk has been detained illegally, keeping him away from his family, lawyers and his personal doctors.
Gitanjali Angmo wrote on social media X – I have lost my trust in Safdarjung Government Hospital. The hospital told us @Wangchuk66’s potassium has dropped to 2.9, calling it dangerous and life-threatening. Yet, in their public health bulletin, they conveniently omitted the real numbers, citing only “decreased potassium levels.”
He further wrote – Despite repeated requests, the hospital has refused to allow him to be discharged or shifted to a private hospital of his choice. There are about 30 policemen deployed on our floor and more than 100 policemen in the entire hospital, making it very difficult for us to move around. This is not medical care. This is illegal detention. If anything happens to Sonam, the hospital authorities and the government will have to take full responsibility. That’s why I have approached the High Court and sought urgent hearing today, and permission to shift Sonam before her health deteriorates further. No family should have to fight the system just to choose where their loved one will receive medical care.
