Sonbhadra – High tension wires will be removed from schools, strict instructions from investigation committee to improve electricity system.

The investigation committee related to the state power system of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council visited Sonbhadra on Sunday. In this high level meeting held under the chairmanship of Chairman Angad Kumar Singh in the Collectorate Auditorium, many important guidelines were issued to strengthen the electricity system of the district and for quick disposal of public problems. Showing sensitivity, the Chairman directed the officials that the primary schools of the district over which high tension electric wires are passing should be removed immediately on priority basis.

There will be no compromise on the safety of children. Also, the process of providing connections should be started immediately in those schools and Anganwadi centers which do not yet have electricity connections. During the meeting, the Chairman clearly said about the working style of the Vigilance Team that raids should be conducted mainly in those areas where line loss is high. The investigation process should be completely transparent. No legitimate electricity consumer should be unnecessarily harassed by the department.

In the meeting, Legislative Council member Rai Dharmendra Singh, Shyam Narayan Singh alias Vineet Singh, District Magistrate B.N. Singh, Superintendent of Police Abhishek Kumar Verma, and Additional District Magistrate (Judicial) Ramesh Kumar and senior officials of the Electricity Department were present. Referring to the Prime Minister’s concept of a developed India, the Chairman said that all the departments will have to work together with mutual coordination. In the end, the District Magistrate assured the committee that the officers will ensure compliance with all the instructions given in the meeting within the stipulated time limit.
