Sookshmadarshini’s ending explained – what were Manuel’s true motives?
Priyadarshini was suspicious of Manuel’s intentions from the very beginning. Although she initially thought that Manuel might be plotting something against his Alzheimer’s-ridden mother, what she found was more cruel and diabolical. Turns out Manuel’s real victim was not his mother, but his sister, Diana. The most shocking part? Manuel’s seemingly innocent mother was the real mastermind behind the sinister plan.
Diana was a lesbian who fell in love with a woman named Aditi. When her family found out about her sexual orientation, they viewed her actions as a ‘disgrace’ to their family. They managed to lure Diana back to India by staging the mother’s disappearance. When Diana came home that night, she was killed by her own family. Manuel then went on to pose as Diana to make sure no one would suspect her whereabouts.
How was Diana’s body disposed of?
Taking a note from the popular show Breaking BadDr John studies Aqua Regia, a chemical that could easily dissolve Diana’s chopped-up body parts. But, he did not anticipate the acid breaking down the pipes and leaking out and staining their walls. However, the plan goes south when Aditi, Diana’s partner arrives looking for her. The family then decides to kill Aditi as well. But, Aditi was saved as Priyadarshini was following Manuel’s every step and managed to get ahead of him for once.
How did Priyadarshini find out about Manuel’s plan?
Priyadarshini found out about Manuel’s possible motives after going through Diana’s Instagram account. When she discovered that Diana was in love with Aditi, she understood what the problem at hand was. She successfully managed to warn Aditi before Manuel took her life away. She reaches Aditi before it is too late and reduces her using her wit. Further, she also found the painted-over wall suspicious and scraped the residue to send it to her friend who is a forensic scientist. Just as suspected, Priyadarshini learned that the residue showed the presence of blood and bone. Although she could not save Diana, Priyadarshini managed to squash Manuel’s plan to kill Aditi with her quick thinking and top-notch observational skills.
