Team India’s defeat opened in Super-8 in Ahmedabad, India got the second biggest defeat in T20 World Cup history.

IND vs SA Super-8: The Indian team has faced a crushing defeat by 76 runs against South Africa in its very first match of Super-8. While batting in this match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, South Africa had scored 187 runs. In reply, Team India was reduced to 111 runs in 18.5 overs. Let us tell you that this is India’s second biggest defeat in terms of runs in T20 World Cup history. This crushing defeat has also had a big impact on the net run rate of Team India.

Team India had a very bad start

Team India, which came to chase the target of 188 runs given by South Africa, also had a very bad start. Half of the Indian team had returned to the pavilion at the score of 51 runs. Ishan Kishan was out without opening the account. Tilak Verma (1), Abhishek Sharma (15), Washington Sundar (11) and captain Suryakumar Yadav (18) were out after scoring runs.

Shivam Dubey scored the highest score of 42 runs for India.

After this, India lost 8 wickets on the score of 86 runs. Keshav Maharaj gave 3 blows to Team India in a single over. First he sent Hardik Pandya to the pavilion with a personal score of 18 runs. After this, Rinku was made to walk on the next ball. Rinku could not even open an account. Then on the last ball of the over, he made Arshdeep Singh his victim on the personal score of 1 run. After this Shivam Dubey was out after scoring 42 runs in 37 balls. Then within no time the entire Indian team was reduced to 111 runs in 18.5 overs.

South Africa had set a target of 187 runs

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, South Africa had a very bad start, but still the team scored 187 runs for 7 wickets. David Miller played a brilliant inning of 63 runs in 35 balls for the team. During this, he hit 7 fours and 3 sixes. Whereas Dewald Brevis scored 45 runs on 29 balls, which included 3 fours and 3 sixes. While Tristan Stubbs played an unbeaten inning of 44 runs in 24 balls. During this, he hit one four and 3 sixes. Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets for India. Arshdeep Singh took 2 wickets. Whereas Varun Chakraborty and Shivam Dubey got 1 success each.
