According to reports, about 200 kg of sodium was kept in the factory. Sodium is an extremely dangerous chemical, which can explode when it comes in contact with air or water. When the fire broke out, firefighters feared that the sodium might cause a major explosion, which could threaten their lives. How did the accident happen?

This accident happened at around 1 pm, when about 170 workers were working in the factory. Suddenly the fire broke out and engulfed the entire building. During this time many workers got trapped inside and no way out was found.

Many workers are still stranded

Firefighters had to face a lot of difficulties in carrying out rescue work in this building. The danger of the building collapsing was so high that they were avoiding entering inside. This was the reason that many laborers did not get a chance to escape and remained stranded for a long time. One body was found on the second floor and the remaining bodies were found on the third floor, due to which it is being estimated that the fire must have spread rapidly upwards.

The major challenge during the rescue operation was that visibility was very low due to the chemicals inside, smoke and extreme heat. Despite this, the rescue teams entered inside with utmost caution, and relief and rescue operations are currently underway.

government in action
