New Delhi. South Korean President Lee Jae Myung will begin a three-day visit to India on Sunday to strengthen bilateral ties in trade, defense and critical technologies amid geopolitical fluctuations. Lee is expected to hold extensive talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, after which the two sides are likely to sign several agreements to strengthen bilateral cooperation in a number of areas, sources said. In the wake of Lee Jae Myung’s visit, the two countries will begin a new chapter of economic cooperation in strategic areas such as shipbuilding and maritime industry, finance, artificial intelligence (AI) and defense, South Korea’s national security adviser Wi Sung-lak said in Seoul.
He said, the two countries will maintain close coordination on energy supply amid the rapidly changing global scenario due to the war in West Asia.
