PM Modi said on ‘Karmayogi Sadhana Week’ – Importance should be given to work, not to position.

Karmayogi Sadhana Week: PM Narendra Modi addressed a gathering through virtual medium during ‘Karmayogi Sadhana Week’. He said that in the 21st century, India is also moving forward at the same pace with which the systems and the world are changing. To keep pace with this pace, the civil service will also have to constantly update itself with time. ‘Karmayogi Sadhana Week’ is a step taken in this direction. Today the basic principle of good governance is – ‘Citizen is God’. In this spirit, efforts are being made to make the public service more efficient and more sensitive towards the citizens. Now good governance is being made citizen-centric, giving it a new identity.”

On the first day of ‘Karmayogi Sadhna Saptah’, PM Modi said, “We can all see and feel how ambitious today’s India has become. Every citizen has his own dreams and goals, and it is our responsibility to support them in fulfilling those aspirations. Our governance must ensure that the ‘ease of living’ and quality of life for citizens improves day by day; this is our yardstick. For this, every day There is a need to learn something new and imbibe the spirit of a ‘Karmayogi’. Earlier, the emphasis was mostly on the authority, but the importance should be given to the work, not the position.”

He said, “Before every decision, if you think about what your duty demands, the impact of your decisions will increase manifold. We must look at our current efforts on a bigger picture – the goal of a developed India by 2047. The work we do today will shape the development journey of the country. A single decision can change the lives of many citizens. Individual change can lead to institutional change. These questions should be part of every effort. From my experience, I say I can imagine that it requires a lot of energy.”
