Railways is ready for Mahakumbh, so many trains will run on this occasion
New Delhi : Mahakumbh is going to be organized soon in Prayagraj, UP from 13 January 2025. This Mahakumbh is going to continue till 26th February. Many royal baths will also take place during this period. It is being said by the Uttar Pradesh government that this time around 40 crore people are going to take a devotional dip in Mahakumbh. Indian Railways has also made complete preparations to make Mahakumbh even more special.
It is being told that Indian Railways is going to run more than 10,000 trains for Mahakumbh 2025. Of these, there are going to be 3300 special trains. If you want to reach Prayagraj by Indian Railways and take a dip of faith in Mahakumbh, then we are going to give you complete information about it.
Railway's special arrangement
Indian Railways has prepared to operate more than 10,000 trains for the Kumbh Mela, out of which 3,300 are going to be special trains. Extra services are going to be provided for the convenience of the pilgrims on the occasion of Sangam Snan and other major occasions. Colour-coded waiting and holding sectors have been created at railway stations for general passengers.
To make the journey easier for all passengers, Railways has arranged for announcements in more than 12 languages. Not only this, a special information book has been prepared in 22 languages. Information about travel, health service and security protocols is given in this book. Officers of Railway Protection Force i.e. RPF and Government Railway Police i.e. GRP have been prepared to take the passengers to their trains in an organized manner.
Health and emergency service
Railways has set up medical booths and small hospitals for first aid treatment and health services at all major stations. Trained medical experts will be available 24 hours. Ambulances are going to be deployed at strategic locations to help in emergency situations and an emergency planning has also been done with local hospitals.
