Special FD scheme of private bank, will get 6.95% interest, deadline extended till 30th September
Private sector IDBI Bank has extended the deadline of its Special FD Scheme. “IDBI Utsav FD Scheme” which was earlier scheduled to close on March 31, now customers can avail its benefits till September 30, 2026. Premature withdrawal facility is also available in this scheme. Apart from this, the bank also offers 50 bps additional interest to Indian senior citizens.
Two tenure options are available under this scheme. Compared to regular tenure, it is getting more interest on shorter tenure. The bank had announced revision in interest rates in February 2026. That is why customers are advised to visit the official website of the bank or the nearest branch before investing.
How much return will you get?
It is offering 6.40% interest to general citizens on special tenure of 555 days. The interest rate for senior citizens is 6.90%. The bank is offering 6.45% interest to general citizens and 6.95% to senior citizens on a tenure of 700 days. The bank offers the benefit of additional interest only to Indian Senior Citizens and Super Senior Citizens. Customers can invest less than Rs 3 crore in it.
Know the interest rate for regular FD
The bank is giving interest ranging from 3% to 6.50% to common citizens on regular FD. Whereas for senior citizens the minimum interest rate is 3.50% and maximum 7%. Customers can invest from 7 days to 20 years. Apart from this, the bank is offering 6.25% interest to common citizens on five-year tax saver FD. The bank is offering 6.35% interest on 1111 days special Vasundhara Green Deposit Scheme. Ordinary citizens are getting 6.10% interest on Arogya Fixed Deposit Scheme.

- From 91 days to 6 months – 5.25%
- 6 months 1 day to 270 days – 5.50%
- From 271 days to less than 1 year – 5.80%
- 1 year- 6.20%
- Above 1 year and up to 2 years – 6.25%
- Above 2 years and up to 3 years – 6.50%
- More than 3 years and less than 5 years – 6.35%
- 5 years- 6.25%
- Above 5 years and up to 7 years – 5.95%
- Above 7 years and up to 10 years – 5.90%
- Above 10 years and up to 20 years – 4.80%
