Bengaluru: Like every year, the festive Christmas season amid the chill of winter season has brought joy and cheer in a world ravaged by problems.
Adding to the warmth and love of the Yuletide season is a heartwarming initiative by the management of a Bengaluru mall.
An Instagram user shared a video after noticing a parking space reserved for expectant mothers at Nexus Mall.
The video shows a signboard saying ‘Reserved for mothers to be,’ with the parking space being decorated in a light pink theme.
The parking areas of large shopping complexes and malls are often busy and bustling, but the distinct signage at this particular mall make the spot easily noticeable.
“Very nice concept and I loved it,” the user named Akshay Raina says in the video, lauding the mall management for thinking beyond the traditional and routine stuff.
He suggests that other malls in India should introduce dedicated parking lots for would-be mothers.
As the video gained traction, social media users praised the concept.
Many of them called the initiative practical, considerate and long overdue.
Some users pointed out that small and thoughtful steps like these could make a significant difference in everyday experience.
