Northern Railway has made special arrangements to reduce crowding in trains during festivals this year. Last year, Northern Railway had made 1082 trips, which will increase to more than 55 lakh this year.

A total of 1082 trips were made by Northern Railway last year, which has been increased to 2694 this year. Northern Railway is going to run 149 percent more special trains than last year. Indian Railways operates special trains every year during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath Puja. These special trains will run between October 1 and November 30. These trains will run from various stations of Northern Railway, but most of these trains will be for the eastern direction.

This year, special trains will make 2694 trips, which will provide approximately 55 lakh additional seats. Apart from this, the number of coaches in the trains already running will also be increased, so that more and more people can be transported home easily. In view of Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath, Northern Railway made special arrangements from 1 to 30 October this year.
