Lohardaga: On Sunday morning, near the block turn of Kudu police station area on the Ranchi-Lohardaga main road, a speeding Bolero vehicle ran into a fatal accident. The Bolero hit two people standing on the roadside with such force that one person died on the spot, while the other died during treatment in Ranchi. The Bolero driver was also seriously injured in this accident, who is undergoing treatment at RIMS, Ranchi. The deceased include Satyendra Sahu, 39-year-old son of Suresh Sahu, resident of Kudu Masjid Chowk, who had come to open his Shree General store located at Block Mod. He parked his motorcycle outside the shop and was moving towards the shop when a speeding Bolero going from Lohardaga to Ranchi hit him. The collision was so severe that Satyendra Sahu died on the spot.

The transport driver was seriously injured in the second collision. After the accident, the Bolero went out of control and collided with the driver of the transport vehicle, Rajesh Yadav, who was sitting at some distance. In which 45-year-old Rajesh Yadav was a resident of Keola village of Gaya district of Bihar and was working as a driver in Shri Ma Transport based in Ranchi. Seriously injured Rajesh Yadav was immediately taken to Kudu Community Health Center, where after first aid he was referred to Ranchi RIMS. He also died during treatment at RIMS. Bolero driver Pintu Singh, 25, resident of Hata Toli, Kudu, was also injured in this accident. After first aid, he was also sent to Ranchi RIMS, where he is undergoing treatment. As soon as the news of this accident was received, a wave of mourning ran in Kudu and surrounding areas. Local people have demanded curbs on the operation of speeding vehicles. The police took possession of both the bodies and completed the necessary legal process and started investigating the case. Police say that the cause of the accident is being thoroughly investigated and action will be taken against the culprits as per rules.
