The deceased included Ram Charan Tanti of Ramchandrapur Ithari in Amarpur, Putul Devi, wife of Gautam Yadav, Lalita Devi, wife of Arjun Yadav of Mohanpur village of Rajoun, Chunni Devi, wife of Arun Paswan, Sumitra Devi, wife of Dinesh Yadav and Sahdev Yadav of Shobhanpur village. Daughter Lakhi Kumari is included. Of these, four people died on the spot while Lakhi Kumari and Putul Devi died in Mayaganj Hospital. Meanwhile, the condition of Lakhi's sister Julie remains critical.

On the other hand, Dial 112 police, who reached the spot on receiving information about the incident, had to face the anger of the villagers. The villagers damaged the police vehicle and also attacked the police personnel. Inspector Baban Manjhi was injured in the attack. He is undergoing treatment at Amarpur Referral Hospital. In this regard, Banka SDPO Vipin Bihari said that six people have died in the accident. About nine people have been injured. After the incident, some anti-social elements burnt the police vehicle. They offered water at Tildiha temple.
