Spicy Shrimp Punch with Ginger-Garlic Pickle, learn the easy recipe

Material

250 grams prawns, cleaned

5 cloves garlic, grated

1 inch piece ginger, grated

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/4 teaspoon garam masala

1/4 tsp cumin powder

1 teaspoon fenugreek leaves, chopped

2 spoon curd

Black salt, as per taste

salt, as per taste

2 teaspoons mustard oil

1 1/2 teaspoon ghee

1 medium onion, chopped (for garnish)

Preparation

In a bowl, mix grated garlic, ginger, spices, fenugreek leaves, curd, black salt, regular salt and mustard oil. Stir well. Add the shrimp to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Keep it aside for 30 minutes. After marinating, heat ghee in a pan. Add the shrimp to the pan one by one, leaving the rest of the marinade in the bowl. Fry until the bottom is light brown, then turn the shrimp. When fried on both sides, remove the shrimp from the pan. Add the remaining marinade to the pan and cook until the smell of the raw spices goes away. Add the fried prawns back to the pan, stirring to coat them in the cooked marinade. Switch off the stove after a minute. Meanwhile, heat some mustard oil in a separate pan and fry the onion pieces until golden. Place the prawns on a plate and garnish with fried onions. Serve with lemon slices for a tangy taste.
