Spider-Man 4 to release in 2026; Tom Holland to star and Destin Daniel Cretton to direct

A few days after Tom Holland confirmed Spider-Man 4 in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonSony confirmed the release date of the film to be on July 24, 2026. Destin Daniel Cretton, who earlier directed the Marvel film Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Ringswill helm the sequel to the 2021 film Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Jon Watts directed the first three Spider-Man installments starring Holland: Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and No Way Home. All three films were well received by the audiences and were big successes at the box office. The three films have grossed a combined amount of $3.96 billion.
