Meditation connects to God

Meditation and God: Our duty is to remain receptive, so that when His mercy comes in our direction, we are ready to receive it from the bottom of our hearts.

The spiritual path should bring us happiness and joy, but there are many stages of the spiritual path. Sometimes we are drawn to the Lord, while other times we experience difficulty. We expect to get what we want, but our knowledge of what is good for us is limited. However, whatever happens, is for the best for us and is by the will of the Lord. God is aware of our every thought, every word and every action. We can hide something from others in this world. We may behave in one way with one person and in another way with another. We show others the side of our character that we want them to see. But God knows everything about us.

Our aim is to unite our soul with God. For this, first the burden of our deeds must be reduced. Many times we go through difficulties, so that the accounts of our deeds can be settled. If we live in the state of ‘Tera Bhaana Meetha Laage’, we find happiness and joy. Everything happens at its right time.
When we experience the happiness and joy of the inner circles, only then we understand what the Satguru is, what He is giving us and then our complaints turn into gratitude.
Such an attitude takes us to the second stage, when instead of complaining, only words of praise come out of our mouths. In the spiritual journey we reach a point where we begin to recognize the power of God. We find that our Satguru is leading us towards the throne of God. After reaching that stage we experience so much happiness that it cannot be expressed in any words. After that, the outside world has no effect on us. We always live in joy.

Then we experience reality. We communicate with the Satguru at a higher level. This is the state of a true devotee. This condition is described in the stories of the lives of saints. For example, some saints were poor, yet they remained happy, while others were more prosperous than them, yet they remained happy because they had experienced the joy of the journey within, which cannot be compared with any joy in this world. Reaching this state is possible only by the mercy of God.
To reach that state we must be receptive. We do not know at what moment the Lord’s mercy will give us divine treasures. People go to a Satguru to receive that mercy. We can find that mercy physically in their presence or through the practice of meditation while living thousands of miles away.

We can pray for the gaze of mercy during our meditation practice. But we should not demand it. Our duty is to be receptive, so that when His mercy comes in our direction, we are ready to repent from the bottom of our hearts. But if it comes towards us and we are not receptive then it turns back and goes somewhere else. It is extremely important to be receptive to God’s will and always be grateful for what we have. We are lucky because we have received more kindness than we could have ever imagined.
